DIY Jewelry:Vintage-Inspired Fabric Button Rings
I have to say….I love these Vintage-Inspired Fabric Button Rings. I think they turned out to be super cute.
Quite honestly, this isn’t going to be much of a tutorial. Our motto for this project is “If you can glue it, you can do it.” 🙂
What you need:
Fabric Covered Buttons
Not only are these super easy to make, they are also inexpensive too. My JoAnn allows me to use a JoAnn item coupon and a competitor item coupon. You will want to refer to your local store for their policy. So I was able to use a 40% off coupon on each item. So my cost before coupon $9.60 or after coupon $4.80 (+ tax of course) and glue. I had super glue. (You can check for Craft Coupons here)
So basically I made 8 rings for under $5…it worked out to about $.60 per ring!
I found the ring bases (pack of 8) in the jewelry making section. (Also, you can grab similar ones here on Amazon) . I found my fabric buttons in the paper craft section (pack of 9) for $3.99. I just had to break the prongs off…but that was pretty easy. It didn’t require any special tools. I just did it with scissors.
Glue the button to the ring base and allow to dry. EASY!
So I have a Holiday Gift Idea for you! Of course it can be for any occasion….not just the holidays. I paired these vintage-inspired rings with Julep Nail Polish. I LOVE this line of Polish. I love the colors and the shape of the bottles. Just tie the ring onto the coordinating nail color with a ribbon and place in a gift box or envelope.
I actually gave the Yellow Chevron Ring and Polish to my oldest sons teacher…actually he insisted she needed it because she loved chevron. 🙂
I think this is such a fun, thoughtful and inexpensive gift. Speaking of INEXPENSIVE….did you know Julep is offering my readers a box of Nail Polish (about a $40 value) For FREE. Yes $0.00. All you have to pay is the shipping charge which is $3.99! Isn’t that a fabulous deal. This deal is for new customers only and you will want to get the details here.
